Seven parts, sourced separately and checked one at a time, then built up around a single Seiko NH35A movement. Hover a part to highlight it, and scroll to take the watch from fully assembled to exploded.
A real-time 3D render of the build, not a video. Orbit around it, zoom in, and drag the slider to separate the case, dial, hands, movement, gears and rotor. Hover a label to pick out a part.
Most parts marketed for the NH35 actually aren't. Stem lengths, dial feet and hand-hole sizes all had to match before anything shipped. Each was checked against the movement, then assembled under a loupe in a sealed, dust-free room.

The complete assembly session, from sourcing and seating to pressing and verifying, in one sitting.
